Prince Edward County is a very special place. You may find yourself here one weekend, falling in love and moving permanently, a large number of people have. Affectionately known as “The County” the area is comprised of small villages and hamlets scattered amongst farm fields and quaint shops. Located in Lake Ontario you will fall in love with the people, the food, nature, and art. The area hosts 3 provincial parks and over 800km of shoreline. Tourism is a huge industry in Prince Edward County and seems fairly new to some but we`ve been welcoming visitors to our beaches for almost 200 years. History shows the area started out in the canning industry but currently The County is home to artists, entrepreneurs, farmers, winemakers and chefs. Every day you can start a new adventure, see where the road takes you.
Prince Edward County hosts over 40 wineries and is Ontario`s newest wine region. Wineries in the area take pride in the fact that everyone is very different. Talk to anyone from The County and they each have a different favourite winery for a different reason. You can easily spend the day exploring different wineries around The County, but we can also provide a guided tour that will pick you up and drop you off at your accommodations. This allows you to relax and leave the planning and driving to us! No better way to spend the afternoon. Maybe wine is not your thing?
